SSCP Vulnerable Babies Workshop

Any practitioner who works with those pregnant or with babies and families in Sunderland is recommended to attend this training.
Sessions are delivered face-to-face.
Sessions are a full day.
Aims of Training:
- To raise awareness of the vulnerability of babies and gain knowledge and skills to recognise safeguarding issues and their impact
Expected Outcomes of Training:
- Identify why children are most vulnerable to abuse, serious injury or death in their first year of life
- Consider the challenges of parenting a new baby and the factors which heighten risk at this time
- Explore best practice for professionals supporting these families in relation to our multi-agency strengths-based approach –Signs of Safety
- Consider the learning from serious case reviews involving babies
