Any practitioner who works within or closely with the children’s workforce in Sunderland is recommended to attend this training. You must have attended the SSCP Guide to our Thresholds of Need prior to booking.
Sessions are a full day.
Aims of Training:
- To outline MSET terms of reference, aims, and processes – with particular emphasis as using the screener as a tool to support threshold and decision making
- To support practitioners to understand the that MSET sits across services and the differences in everyone’s roles, but what also the collective response should achieve (i.e. improving responses and outcomes)
- To provide practical learning opportunities using the MSET screener with case studies
Expected Outcomes of Training:
Practitioners will…
- Understand what is meant by exploitation and extrafamilial harm and understand its impact on children (but also that it does not stop once someone turns 18)
- Consider the threshold for intervention with the use of the screener as a tool of support
- Have a shared understanding of exploitation and how to use the MSET Framework
- Have strengthened partnership working arrangements and relationships through shared experiences and discussion
